Diversity Week

17th October 2019

Wednesday 16th October 2019

Dear Parents and carers

During the week of the 28th October, we will be celebrating diversity across the school. During this week we will be celebrating the different faiths, traditions and customs that we have at Harrington Hill through many areas of the curriculum.

Each class will also be having a diversity class party, which parents and carers are invited to. The diversity parties will take place on the following days:

Nursery - Year 2: Wednesday 30th October 2pm - 3.30pm

Year 3 – Year 6: Thursday 31st October 2pm - 3.30pm

If you would like to come to your child’s diversity class party please let a member of your child’s staff team know as soon as possible. We would like as many of you there as possible to join in with the celebrations. At your child’s diversity party, you may wish to send in some food you have cooked or read stories in your home language. Maybe you play an instrument or know a traditional game, whatever it is we would love to celebrate them with you.

If you are bringing in food, please remember NO NUTS. We would also be grateful if you could write down the main ingredients on a piece of paper accompanying the dish.

Please fill in the slip below and return to the class teacher by Friday 18th October to let us know how you would like to contribute.

Thank you for your co-operation in advance.

Yours sincerely,

Pete Brodie

Pastoral Lead
