Green for Grenfell Day

12th June 2018

Tuesday 12th June 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week will mark one year since the terrible Grenfell tragedy. In the days following the fire, the Grenfell community came together in a show of unity, and an enormous amount of support poured in from across the country. We want to celebrate this spirit of unity and collaboration by joining in with the UK wide 'Green for Grenfell day'. On Friday the 15th of June, Harrington Hill school will go 'Green for Grenfell'. Children are invited to come into school on Friday wearing school uniform and either wear or bring something green - for example a pair of green socks, green hat or any green accessories and bring a voluntary donation. Any monies raised will be sent to a local initiative chosen by the school council.
We appreciate that this is very late notice but feel it's a wonderful opportunity to join together with other schools across the country to support this important cause.
