HARRINGTON HILL LEARNING BEHAVIOURS

As part of our continuous drive to provide our children with the best possible learning opportunities, last year we introduced our new approach to developing children’s learning behaviours. Children and staff discussed what makes a good learner and we decided on 5 key learning behaviours to focus on:

ACTIVE LISTENING

TEAMWORK

INDEPENDENCE

RESILIENCE

GOOD TALK

We explored each learning behaviour and practiced getting them just right. To support with our journey, we appointed four learning behaviour superheroes!

NEW SUPERHERO LANDS AT HARRINGTON HILL!

We have noticed that across the school, we have improved our listening skills thanks to our learning behaviour superhero ‘Active Listening Ali.’ Now the time has come for us to ensure that what we are listening to is meaningful, rich, interesting talk, both in the classroom and around our school.

Therefore, a new learning behaviour superhero has come to support us with our talk in 2019…

WELCOME TO ‘GOOD TALK TYRESE’!

Please take a look at the PowerPoint below, which will tell you all about our Learning Superheroes. Now, we have 5!

Each week, Mr Brodie holds a ‘superhero party’ to celebrate with the children who have been showing excellent learning behaviours across the week. One ‘super’ child is selected from each class to attend the party!

This week, could it be you..?
