Teacher Cobalt Class

Welcome to the Cobalt class home learning page:

Our home learning is intended to develop our pupils' excitement and passion for their learning and to help parents support their children at home.

During the week daily activities will be added to:

  • Ensure that parents are clear about what their child is expected to do;
  • Ensure consistency of approach throughout the school during the closure;
  • To use home learning as a tool to help to continue to raise standards of attainment;
  • Improve the quality of the learning experience offered to pupils and to extend it beyond the classroom environment;
  • Provide opportunities for parents, children and the school to work together in partnership in relation to pupils’ learning;
  • Encourage pupils and their parents to share and enjoy learning experiences;
  • Reinforce learning covered in class by providing further opportunities for the individual pupil;
  • To practise or consolidate basic skills and knowledge;

Today I would like you to challenge yourself with the homophone worksheet then have a read through the comprehension on Benjamin Zephaniah - super interesting. I hope you agree!
Friday Maths: Arithmetic
Using Skills you've learnt over the year!!

Friday Art: Self Portrait!!
Have another go at drawing yourself, but this time use a different medium to express yourself. For example if you used pencil last time, try with pen, or crayons or coloured pencils. You could even experiment with completely different materials - check out the examples below: someone has used sticks and stones, another is drawn on an ipad someone else has drawn on a newspaper - super cool and different ideas. Be as inventive and creative as you can with what you have!!
I fully encourage you to think outside of the BOX!!

Topic: Antarctic and Shackleton

Last term we learnt all about Ernest Shackleton and his expedition to Antarctica.
I would like you to research and write about Ernest Shackleton's life. Including when he was born, all about his expeditions and any other interesting information you come across.
I have uploaded an example fact file and links to help you with your research.
I have also included a writing frame template you do not need to print it out but use it as a guide to help you lay out your work.
